osTicket has stopped being developed. Another developer has taken osTicket and created eTicket. The Benefits of upgrading (which is a manual process) are:
eTicket includes bug fixes
eTicket is current and still being supported
eTicket adds extra functionality
Once osTicket has been installed you can easily upgrade to eTicket without loosing your data. Simply download your existing config.php from osTicket and use the relevant information for when you install eTicket (It will ask for data_base_ details etc)
